Databases provide access to articles from magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers, and similar types of publications.
They can be access by broad subject areas or alphabetically (A-Z)
General/Mulitidisciplinary Databases are always good places to start. Here are some suggestions:
| Academic Search Premier (EBSCO) |
Academic Search Premier, is a multi-disciplinary full-text database containing full-text for nearly 4,700 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,176 journals in the collection. This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more. |

Over 5,900 publications on the service span news, financial, medical, and legal information. The service covers newspapers, magazines, wire services, federal and state court opinions, federal and state statutes, federal regulations, and SEC filings.
Covers top news, general news topics, and news transcripts; foreign language news sources; company, industry, and market news; legal news; company financial information; general medical and health topics and medical abstracts; accounting, auditing, and tax information; law reviews; federal case law; U.S. Code; and state legal research.

A full text and image database covering the full spectrum of Alternative Medicine subject areas, Alt HealthWatch focuses on complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It draws from more than 140 international and often peer-reviewed reports, conference proceedings, and association and consumer newsletters. In addition, Alt HealthWatch includes pamphlets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. |

America's Newspapers from NewsBank provides full-text articles from the electronic editions of record for more than 300 U.S. newspapers. Newspaper archives provide comprehensive coverage of current events (history in the making) and historical events. Each newspaper or wire service provides unique coverage of local and regional news, including specific information about local companies, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and the people in the community. Paid advertisements are excluded. Newsbank includes the full-text of the Philadelphia Inquirer, The Record (NJ), and The Star-Ledger (Newark, NJ). |

The database contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for selected titles and searchable cited references for more than 200 titles as well.
